The rec department will offer free childcare during the 2026 Annual Spring Town Meeting for families attending the meeting at Swampscott High School.

Childcare will be available for children ages 3 (must be potty trained) and up from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will be staffed by the Swampscott Recreation Department team. Families should drop children off in the cafeteria, the program will be held in Room B129, where children will enjoy a fun, supervised evening featuring movies, games, and crafts.

The initial childcare session will take place on Monday, May 18, with the possibility of additional sessions on May 19 and May 20 if Town Meeting continues.

To help ensure a safe and organized environment, advance registration is required for all participants.
